Medical Office Assistant / Assistant Manager Position Open
This position will be for either a medical office assistant or an assistant manager position in a medical/surgical practice in Mandeville. The position will be full time, and experience is required. Pay will be based on the position and experience. Duties will include the following:
• Checking in / out patients, Collecting copays, keeping records.
• Obtaining medical benefits electronically or by phone.
• Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and coordinating physician's schedule.
• Communicating with insurance companies
• Obtaining service and surgery authorizations experience is recommended, especially for an assistant manager position.
• Other back office duties, including medical records..
• Computer experience, fast typing and transcription abilities.
- Cell phone and personal laptop at home required for sporadic home duties.
- This is mainly a day position, but very sporadically some after hours tasks maybe needed based on certain urgent patient needs, but they are all paid times.
- Experience is needed, preferably in a surgical practice. References required. Professionalism with patients is of utmost importance. Please read the qualifications carefully.
