Job Description
We are currently hiring for a Business Office Manager. Must have Long Term Care and/or Medicaid Specialist experience!
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
To manage and maintain the systems and processes associated with patient/resident financial services.
Ability to meet admission goals for census improvement/maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
To represent the facility to clients, hospitals, and community agencies, establishing a good rapport with the transferring institutions.
Professional tact, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Maintain an accurate resident roster.
Work with physicians and hospital discharge planners to arrange a smooth transition to the facility.
Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, discharge planners and other referral sources.
Analyze referrals to ensure facility can meet resident’s needs adequately.
Facilitate a decision for admission approval and notification of admission approval timely to referring agency.
Explain facility philosophy, policies and procedures to potential residents, new residents, and residents’ representatives.
